Warehouse Operative - Hastings

Our client has been established for over 30 years, manufacturing heating and plumbing system components. They are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join their hardworking and dedicated team.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar warehouse environment, be computer literate and have a good eye for detail. You will also be able to work well in a team and have an awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace. As a Warehouse Operative you will be receiving delivery of goods and storing them, checking for damaged or missing items as well as packaging of goods. You will also be preparing goods for jobs, and ensuring all data is correctly recorded.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

• Demonstrable experience within a Warehouse
• Be computer literate
• Have a good eye for detail
• Be able to work well in a team
• Ability to complete paperwork and take stock
• Awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace
• Due to the role involving heavy lifting, the ideal candidate must be physically fit
• Hold a valid Forklift licence or have previous experience of operating a forklift is desirable
• Possess a knowledge of plumbing goods would be desirable

Your duties as a Warehouse Operative would be:

• Receiving delivery of goods and storing them
• Checking for damaged or missing items
• Operating the forklift to unload and move stock
• Packaging of goods
• Ensuring goods are loaded ready for sending
• Keeping and maintaining stock records
• Data entry
• Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and tidy manner

Salary:

£22,500 per annum

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
