Our client who is a contact lens manufacturer, has been established for over 170 years. They are currently recruiting for a Technical & Quality Support Specialist to join their hardworking and dedicated team.
The ideal candidate will possess Customer/Technical Support experience, have investigative and problem-solving skills, be computer literate and have a detailed and accurate approach to tasks. As a Technical & Quality Support Specialist you will be providing technical support to GP lens customers and ensuring accurate order entry per customer requirements. You will also actively participate in the site’s internal and supplier auditing programs, contribute to external audit hosting and managing an effective/value added calibration program for all IM&TE assets.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
- Possess Customer/Technical Support experience
- Have investigative and problem-solving skills
- Be computer literate
- Have a detailed and accurate approach to tasks
- Be a team player
- Able to manage multiple priorities and control own workload with the ability to own initiative with minimal supervision
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of QMS
- Qualified auditor to ISO standards
- Knowledge of appropriate regulatory aspects
- Knowledge of Root Cause investigations and CAPA management
Your duties as a Technical & Quality Support Specialist would be:
- Providing technical support to GP lens customers and ensure accurate order entry per customer requirements
- Actively participating in the site’s internal and supplier auditing programs
- Contributing to external audit hosting
- Managing an effective/value added calibration program for all IM&TE assets
- Actively participating in the site’s CAPA management process-helping to drive through effective and sustained change
- Assisting as required with validation activity as per the Site Validations Master Plan document, utilising the appropriate regional QMS Validations Toolkit and Risk Management protocols
- Control of critical raw materials (goods inward inspection and release)
- Managing documents within the existing document control system
