Our client is a traditional country pub based in the East Sussex countryside. They are currently looking for a Sous Chef to join their hardworking and dedicated team.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a Sous Chef position, be passionate about cooking with fresh produce and possess a high level of attention to detail. You will also possess strong problem-solving skills and a calm approach to a stressful environment.
As a Sous Chef you will be assisting the Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen, dealing with suppliers to order produce, stock control and assisting with menu design. Your duties will also include training the junior members of the team and ensuring all health, safety and hygiene procedures are in place.
Due to the location of this vacancy, full UK driving licence and own transport is essential.
