ASL Technical are privileged to be working on behalf of our East Sussex based client who have a current requirement for a Senior Electronics Engineer on a permanent basis. As a world leader in passenger information systems, you will recognise their products from many of our daily public transportation signage. Our client is a worldwide leader in the manufacture of passenger information systems for the public transport industry. All design, development and majority of production is carried out at their head office site in East Sussex. Manufacturing and supplying passenger information systems to many Global bus operators, from the major groups with thousands of vehicles to small, independent operators.
The successful Senior Electronics Engineer will have an extensive background in Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing and strong experience in designing complex electrical products, as well as leading proven experience of leading projects and providing technical guidance to other engineers. You will be able to communicate with other departments including senior management.
Suitable Electronic Engineers will be required to have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Electrical Design or signal integrator.
- The ability to work under pressure and have excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational & communication skills.
- Excellent planning and coordinating skills.
- Experience with building electrical processor boards or HW electrical prototypes.
- Ability to design Electrical Schematics and create Electrical layouts for departmental reviews.
- Design or testing of Passenger information systems, such as large-scale LED displays, TFTs or control systems.
- Designing Electrical projects with consideration of EMC & Signal integrity.
- Experience using Hyperlynx - desirable but not essential.
- Good understanding of Micro-Controllers / CPUs.
- Schematic design experience using Altium SW.
