Senior Architect - Hastings

Our client is a busy architectural practice who have over 40 years’ experience within the industry and particularly 30 years in the leisure park industry. They have a highly experienced and dedicated workforce who offer a wide range of expertise in the construction industry. A vacancy has risen for a Senior Architect/Architectural Designer to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a senior position, possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as good communication and listening skills. You will also be proficient in AutoCAD and hold a valid UK Driving Licence.

As a Senior Architect/Architectural Designer you will liaise with clients to learn about their needs and objectives, develop and interpret a range of structural designs as well as ensuring that the construction is both legal and safe.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

• Demonstrable experience within a senior position
• Possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Have good communication and listening skills
• Attention to detail to ensure Safety and Legality
• Keeping up to date with industry changes including new technology, best practices and changes in codes
• Must be AutoCAD proficient
• A Full Valid UK Driving licence is required
• Job running skills is preferred but not essential

Your duties as a Senior Architect/Architectural Designer would be:

• Developing and interpreting a range of structural designs
• Liaising with clients to learn about their needs and objectives
• Project estimation
• Choosing materials
• Creating a project time framework
• Scheduling workers
• Ensuring what is being constructed is both legal and safe, which may involve research and consulting experts
• Supervising and maintaining workflow so that schedules do not get interrupted
• Ensuring the cohesion of their team and overall project success
