Healthy Eating Support Worker - Hastings

Our client is local charity who support adults with learning disabilities or Autism into paid work. They are currently recruiting for a Healthy Eating Support Worker to join their dedicated team.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in a professional kitchen or similar, have a willingness to complete Level 3 Good Hygiene and possess a good understanding of what healthy eating looks like. As a Healthy Eating Support Worker, you will be teaching independent cooking sessions, meal planning as well as ordering and preparation of ingredients.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

• Demonstrable experience of working in a professional kitchen or similar
• Willingness to complete Level 3 Good Hygiene
• Possess a good understanding of what healthy eating looks like
• Have excellent communication and report writing skills
• A Teaching qualification is not essential

Your duties as a Healthy Eating Support Worker would be:

• Teaching independent cooking sessions
• Meal planning
• Ordering ingredients and stock
• Preparation of ingredients required for each session
• Working in a large, well-appointed training kitchen
• Running mini workshops on food hygiene, diet, and physical health

Salary:

£10.25 per hour

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
