Handyman/Van Driver - Hastings

Our client is a manufacturing company who specialise in Electronic manufacturing.  They only use services accredited to certified quality standards, and have an excellent team of dedicated staff to keep up their high standards of work. They are currently looking for a Handyman/Van Driver to join their busy and hardworking team.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a similar role, be able to carry out breakdown and routine maintenance on machines as well as the ability to undertake premises management. As a Handyman/Van Driver you will be delivering goods to customers as well as product and materials to another site, carry out basic repairs as well as routine maintenance.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

• Demonstrable experience within a similar role
• Experience with and understanding of mechanical processes
• Possess qualifications in handling and lifting awareness, Ladder Training as well as basic Health and Safety
• Be able to perform breakdown and routine maintenance on a variety of machines
• Possess excellent communication skills
• A full, clean driving licence is essential

Your duties as a Handyman/Van Driver would be:

• Undertaking premises management
• Performing breakdown and routine maintenance on a variety of machines
• Carry out basic repairs, Electrical, Pneumatic and liquid handling
• Carrying out routine PAT tests to a range of appliances
• Reporting issues to a number of line managers
• Delivering goods to customers within the South East area as well as daily transferring products and materials to the company’s other factory based in Hastings

Salary:

£9.50 per hour

Hours:

Monday – Thursday; 7.30am – 4.30pm

Friday; 7.30am – 1.30pm
